Woodrow Merritte

Woodrow "Woody" Meritte, born on February 5th, 1946, went home to be with The Lord on January 18th, 2026 after concluding his battle with dementia.

Woody is preceded in death by his parents Robertus and Thelma, alongside his siblings Delcy and Lois, his son Woody, and his grandson Nathaneal.

He is survived by his son and daughter, Mike Merritte and Elisa Clay, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as his siblings Ronnie, Joyce, Wallace, Charles, and Jean.

Woody was a simple man who did not believe in official funeral services, so to honor his choices there will be no official funeral.

A memorial for his life will be determined in the spring, by the family.
