Warren Edward Spence

Warren Edward Spence, 74, of Hamlin, WV, was born on November 2, 1951. He was reunited with his beloved wife in heaven on February 25, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Elma Lee Spence, sister Angie Harshbarger and his wife of 50 years Rosemary Spence.

Those left to celebrate his memory are his children: Michelle (James) Bailey of Huntington, WV, Jeremy (Clarissa) Spence, of Gallipolis, OH, and Norman (Erica) Spence of West Hamlin, WV, alongside his grandchildren Josh Bailey, Tad Spence, Logan Hill, Braxton Spence, Grant Ward, Allyson Spence, Amelia Ward, Hexel Spence, and Harvie Spence. A host of close family and friends also cherish his memory.

Warren's love for his family and God was immeasurable; he was always a humble man who saw the best in everyone. 

Warren was a retired machinist by trade after suffering a stroke at the age of 38, though moving forward he lived a fulfilling life. Warren enjoyed preaching and attending the church. He spent countless hours outdoors, watching westerns, and spending time with family. He never wavered in his faith, leaving a memory of undeniable strength and bestowing a will of goodness in his family. 

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sunday March 1, 2026 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home West Hamlin with Herman Maynard, Eric Rakes, Josh Hager, and Michael Vance officiating. Burial will follow at Green Valley Cemetery Salt Rock. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
