He was a member of the Mud River Church of Christ.

Virgil was in the Timber Industry all his life.    His passion was the mountains.  He gave lots of young boys their first job and taught them to work and become good men. Then when it was time for him to step down and retire he left the company to his sons.

He was a loving, kind, and generous person who was always ready to help anyone.

The family wants to thank Gary Berry who was always there for Dad, a ride in the mountains when he was able or just sit on the porch and talk.  He always looked forward to his time with Gary.
