Vernon Williams Jr., 70, of Six Mile, Danville, WV passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018.
He was born August 25, 1948 and was a son of the late Vernon and Louise Williams. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Williams.
He was a Navy veteran and a retired coalminer from Patriot Coal Company.
He is survived by his son, Jeremy S. Williams (Melinda) of Bob White; sister, Debra Hopkins (James) of Six Mile; grandchildren, Corey Williams of Bob White and Amber Wright (Stone) of NC; niece, Trena Hopkins of Six Mile; and nephew, James Bryan Hopkins of SC.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 3 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Jessie Perdue officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
