Vernon E. Collins

Vernon E. Collins, 81, of West Hamlin, WV departed this life on Wednesday,  March 22, 2023. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Ottie and Martha Collins; and sister Judith Goddard.

Vernon was born February 3, 1942.  He was retired from Fisherbody and served his Country in the US Army. 

He is survived by three daughters, Susan Smith, Tina Shepard, and RaeLynn Rowan; one brother, Wilson Collins; four sisters, Helen Parsons, Ona Cooper, Linda Heffner, and Tawana Dial; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Matthew 11:28-29 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Franklin Cemetery, Branchland, WV with Elder Greg Dial officiating. McGhee-Handley Funeral Home is assisting the family.
