Ugeal Perry 80 of Greenview, WV was born May 14, 1944 at Logan, WV a son of the late Prentice and Lena Chapman Perry. He departed this life after a long illness on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at CAMC-General Division in Charleston, WV.
Mr. Perry was a retired coal miner, where he was a heavy equipment operator, and was a member of the UMWA. He loved fishing, thrifting, 4-wheeling, and Bluegrass Music. He often attended the ‘Picken in the Park’ at Chief Logan State Park and every weekend at the Opry House at Delbarton, WV with Frank Hurley.
In addition to his parents, Ugeal was preceded in death by his son Ugeal Perry, Jr., his sisters; Outia Hager, Lucille Hunter, and Louise Chafin.
He is survived by the mother of his children Janie Perry, his daughter Teresa (Tommy) Hanna, daughter-in-law Charlene Perry, grandchildren; Harli Ferrell and Kayla (Sam) Marcum, great grandchildren; Caraline Cabell, the apple of his eye, Rocklyn Marcum, and Blake Marcum, his sister Polly Bell, and his bestest buddy Jeanette Stepp.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2024 at the Handley Funeral Home at Danville, WV with Janie and J. K. Gilman officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Friday.
