Cover for Travis Michael Price's Obituary

Travis Michael Price

Jul 5, 1982 — Oct 8, 2026

Travis Michael Price, 44, of Julian, West Virginia unlaced his work boots and took his mining hat off at the pearly gates to go into the sweet arms of Jesus on October 8th.

Travis was a devoted husband, daddy, brother, uncle, son, son-in-law, coal miner, hunter, fisherman and friend. He loved his Mountaineers and the Packers. Travis was married to the love of his life Michelle, and he spent 23 years holding her hand through the joys and challenges of life. Though their time together was far too short, the love and life they built will continue to live on in their hearts forever. Bringing their two biggest blessings into this world their daughters Hannah and Hayden Price. Above all things Travis was proud of; he was most proud of his girls, the light of his life. Travis was the definition of a true family man; his relationship with his girls and wife were proof of that. If Travis wasn't working, you could often find him coaching or watching his oldest daughter (Hannah) play softball. If they weren't on the softball field together, you could find them hunting or fishing. Hannah was his favorite hunting and fishing buddy, and he would often tell her, "I love you more than the feeling when the bass hits the hook!" Something else Travis loved to do is ride his side by side. His favorite riding buddy was his youngest (Hayden), she was in the passenger seat always ready to go. Hayden's favorite thing to do with her daddy was play the "getter monster" he was the best tickler. Hayden loved to wave bye to her daddy and tell him she loved him every day before leaving for work. She was his baby. Travis would always say no matter what time of day or night it was his dog Molly was always excited to see him and greeted him with a hug at the door.

Travis was a 2001 graduate of Scott High School where he accomplished many things, but his favorite accomplishments were an undefeated football season in '98 and being the state runners-up in baseball in '99.

After high school Travis went straight into the workforce where he dedicated 24 years of his life to the mining industry. Travis was a shining example of hard work and was held with utmost respect in the industry. Through his hard work, dedication, and unwavering work ethic, he earned the respect of those who had the privilege of working alongside him. Mining wasn't just a job for Travis; it was a brotherhood.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Michelle, his two baby girls Hannah and Hayden Price, his father Michael Joe Price, his mother-in-law Kitty Dunlap, his bubby Dustin Price (Stacy), nephews Brody Price, Matthew Gagnon, Eli Gagnon, and nieces Aubrie Price and Neveah Gagnon. He also leaves behind a host of family and friends who love him deeply and will forever hold him close in their hearts.
