Traci Renee McKinney-Hager
June 25, 1973 — November 5, 2022
Traci Renee McKinney-Hager went home to be with the Lord on November 5, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Roger and Mary McKinney in Madison, WV on June 25, 1973.
Traci joins her daughter, Savannah Hager in Heaven where they are sure to be spending their days smiling hand-in-hand. Also preceded her in death are her Grandfather Frank Mckinney, Grandfather David Older, Grandmother Patsy Older, and beloved cousin Cody Miller.
Traci is survived by her father and mother, Roger and Mary McKinney of Danville, WV; grandmother Leona McKinney of Danville, WV; brother Patrick McKinney and sister-in-law Nikki McKinney of Danville, WV; sister, Leigh Ann Shaffer and brother-in-law Tony Shaffer of Elkview, WV; daughter Hayley White and son-in-law Scott White of Danville, WV; son Dylan Hager and daughter-in-law Kayton Hager of Big Ugly, WV. Traci leaves behind three precious grandchildren whom she adored, Braylen White, Greyson White and Zeppelin White; along with a host of extended family members and friends.
Traci was a proud Mother and Grandmother, loving daughter, and sister. Over the last year and a half she was honored to help raise her grandchildren who were the light of her life. Although she had her own struggles, Traci was quick to help others and was a such a positive light in this sometimes dark world. Traci will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Traci’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the team at BMP Brighter Futures as well as the CAMC Memorial Division for all of the care, support and love provided to Traci.
Services will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV. Friends may visit from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. with funeral services following immediately after. Burial will be held at Danville Memorial Park on Indian Grave Road, Danville, WV.
In lieu of flowers, Traci’s family requests everyone to consider paying it forward to someone in Traci’s honor to allow her positive light to continue shining in this world.
