Tommy Gene Parsons, 72, of Madison, WV went to his heavenly home on September 28, 2026.

He was a member of Jarrell’s Valley Community Church. He retired from Appalachian Production Gas Company in Virginia.

Tommy loved hunting and fishing, but his favorite thing to do was spend time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda; his children, Amy Parsons of Butler, TN and Ashley (Shaun) Jackson of Madison, WV; his grandchildren, Griffin Jackson, Sutton Jackson, and Logan; his brothers, Ed Parsons of Cleveland, OH and Tracy Parsons of South Hills, SC; his sisters, Sharon Smith of South Hills, SC and Kathy Beal of Verno Beach, FL.

Tommy was liked by many people. He loved going to church and playing pranks on his friends. He loved making people laugh. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

Funeral service for Tommy will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 2026 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV, with services officiated by Stevie Cox. Burial to follow in Danville Memorial Park in Danville, WV.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
