Timothy Ray Legg

Timothy Ray Legg, 61, of Van, WV passed away on May 30th, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his mother Janice Kay Legg and father Robert Legg; his maternal Grandmother Hazel Elswick and Grandfather Carl Elswick, paternal Grandmother Sybil Legg and Grandfather Shell Legg; and his brother Eric Legg.

Timothy is survived by his son Colton Legg (Leanna) of Van, WV; Colton’s mother Melissa Legg whom he remained close friends with; his sister Kacie Atha; his granddaughters Rylea Legg and Kendyl Legg; step-grandson James Harrison; nephews Jacob Legg (Bailea), Avery Atha, Colton Vint, Weston Gunnoe; nieces Jesika Legg (Matthew), Morgan Legg, Abigail Atha, Hannah Johnson; great nephews Boston Legg, Remington Legg, Coal and Cage Lovejoy; great niece Taegan Legg; and stepmother Vonna Legg.

He was a Retired Coal Miner with over 25 years underground. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved to ginseng.

Timmy loved to laugh and loved his family. He will be remembered and missed by many.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Memory Gardens on Low Gap Road, Danville, WV with Scotty Elswick and Vic Jarrell officiating.
