Thomas “Tommy” Young, 81 of Bob White, WV passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Thomas Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and Phelba Young, and a brother Cleo Young.
He is survived by his wife, Marina of 65 years; son, Kenny Young of Alabama; brothers, David and Pat Young of Madison, Tony Young of Madison, and Roy and Pat Jones of Van; a sister, Sue Williams of Parkersburg; granddaughter, Samatha and two great granddaughters. A host of nieces and nephews.
Tommy was a member of the UMWA, loved old cars and spending time with his family and friends.
Funeral service for family and friends, will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2021, Freedie Freewill Baptist Church, Van, WV with Pastor Steve Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Noah White Cemetery, Bim, WV.
A walk thru visitation will be an hour prior to the service. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CDC guidelines will be observed, with mask and social distancing encouraged.
