Thomas Edward McCormick

Thomas Edward McCormick, 76, from Six Mile, WV passed away on March 1, 2024.

He was born on June 17, 1947 in Madison, WV and was the son of the late Walter and Audrey McCormick of Greenview WV. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Jeannie Hager McCormick, and son, Teddy McCormick.

Thomas was a retired Coal miner and veteran of The United States Army. He was a devoted father and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He enjoyed the outdoors, eating out and spending time with his family.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his son, Thomas (Teresa McCormick of Chapmanville, WV; his daughter, Tammy (Chris) Calfee of Bulls Gap, TN; Granddaughters Tabitha (Colton) Farley of Cross Lanes, WV, Tonya McCormick of Huntington, WV, Hanah McCormick and  grandson, Teddy McCormick; Sisters Kaye (Thurman) Stacy, Sue (Willie) Felty, Jeannie and (Joe) Jarrell, brother in laws; Emmett (Ruth) Bias, Mike (Pauline) Bias, Lonnie (Dee) Bias, along with a host of friends and family.

Service will be 11:00 Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville WV Rev. John Curry officiating. Burial will follow in Family Gardens on Low Gap Road, Madison WV. Pallbears will be Thomas McCormick Chris Calfee, Colton Farley, Emmett Bias, John Curry and Willie Felty.

Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.
