Thelma Faye Dolin, 74, of Danville, WV went to sleep peacefully on September 12, 2025 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a courageous 18-month battle with breast cancer.
Born on December 19, 1951 at Madison General Hospital, Thelma was the daughter of the late Arilla Mae Price and Bill Webb (stepfather.) She was also preceded in death by her sisters Diane June Thompson and Brenda Louise Young.
Thelma attended Scott High School and was only a few months away from graduating when she left school to marry the love of her life, George Ray Dolin. The couple was married on October 9, 1970 and remained devoted to each other for 55 years.
A loving mother and homemaker, Thelma is survived by her children, Tanya Lynn Dolin and her husband, Derik Wayne Sloan of Chapmanville and Shannon Ray Dolin and his wife, Autumn Nicole Adkins of Foster. She was the proud grandmother of three grandchildren, Alexander Cross Horton, Braxton Macade Dolin, and Haven Rayne Dolin. Thelma is also survived by brothers Farley Price and James Webb, and sister Joyce Boggs. Thelma leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
A faithful member of Upper Mud River Church of Christ, Thelma was baptized into the Lord’s church of February 8, 1976, the same day as George. They held hands as they were baptized together. She was faithful unto death.
Graveside services for Thelma will be 2:00 p.m, Monday, September 15, 2025 at Family Gardens on Low Gap Road in Madison, WV. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV.
