Tabatha Sue Thomas, 45, of Gordon, WV died unexpectedly at home on May 6th, 2025. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Eugene and Darcas McCormick. Father, Raymond Perry Sr, brother, Raymond Perry Jr., and her granddaughter who was named after her, Lainey Sue Thomas and three uncles, Howard, Teddy and Danny McCormick.
She is survived by her mother and step father Sue and Jim Long of Gordon, WV. Daughter, Brittany Thomas, son and daughter in law Joseph (Brooklynn) Thomas of Whitesville, WV. Sister in law, Angela Perry, niece Sierra Perry and great niece Haven. Her aunts Charlotte Hagstorm of NC, Gladys Halstead of Prenter, Vonia Brammer of Florida, Dennis (Sonji) McCormick and cousin Brooke McCormick of Peytona, WV. She had 8 grandchildren who she loved with everything in her, Paislee, Collin, Myles, Bella, Lilah, Ivan, Lydia and Roo. She also had a best friend who meant so much to her, Bucky Buckner.
Tabatha lived her title of "little momaw" to the fullest, always ready for a sleepover with her grandbabies and ready to babysit anytime she was needed. She enjoyed all things nature and outdoors, that's where she found her peace. You could find her with her cat Heidi snuggling & watching her tablet or listening to music. She gave the best advice and loved her kids and grandkids like no other. Her son was one of her best friends and she was so proud of him. Tabatha will be missed by so many. There will be no service or visitation. She wished to be cremated and placed with her brother at his gravesite. Handley funeral home will be serving the family.
