Sonja Lea Berry

Sonja Lea Berry, 56, born April 11, 1967 of Danville, WV went to her Heavenly home on January 15, 2024.

Sonja attended Greenview Church of Christ.  She was a teacher’s aide at Brookview Elementary school.  She loved the color purple and wore it often.  She loved to cook and do crafts.  Sonja loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren and of course her dog Roxy.

Sonja was preceded in death by her father Ernest Seville Jr; her mother Georgia Rose Hodge; sisters Dee Lovejoy and Linda Drumm; and her in-laws, Lizzie Berry, Rodney and Annabell Meadows, and Robert Bias.

Sonja is survived by her husband, David Berry; sons, Michael (Lacey) Berry, Jonathan (Brittany) Berry, and Ethan; sisters, Jette (Tony) Zukowski and Liz (Rodney) Klein; brother, Keith Seville; in-laws, Virgil Berry, Hazel (Wayne) McKinney, Connie Bias, and Danny Berry (Belinda Ball); grandchildren, Nathan, Easton, Ashlynn, Isabella, Emma, Grayson, and Saphira; and a whole lot of nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 20 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Gary Berry and Eddie Vickers officiating.  Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park on Low Gap Road, Danville, WV.  

Viewing will be from 1 p.m. till 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
