Shirley Jewell Miller, 74, of Griffithsville, WV passed away Friday February 4, 2022.
She was born October 25, 1947 in Hamlin, WV, a daughter of the late Ad and Emma May. She was the owner of Shirley’s Kitchen. She was the last of her beloved siblings. She was preceded in death by brothers, Joe May, Jimmy May, Junior May, James “Red” May, Thomas “J Bird” May; sisters, Opal Moore, Mary “Sissy” Craft, Sally Roberts, Ethel Stowers, Eunice Barker and Pauline Stowers.
She is survived by her husband, Denny Miller; sons, Barry Harless (Phoebe), Henson Harless Jr. (Cary); daughters, Lisa Simmons (Mike), and Amy Brogan; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Shirley will always be remembered for the way she loved and cared for others and her biscuits have fed many people in Lincoln County over the years. Her family claims those biscuits as the best they have ever eaten.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, February 7, 2022 at Handley Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery, Sweetland, WV.
A visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
