Shirley J. Kitchen

Miss Shirley Jean Kitchen, 84 of Madison, WV passed away peacefully at the Hospice Care center In Charleston, WV on Thursday, July 27, 2023.  Shirley was born on October 12, 1938 and has been a life long resident of Boone County, WV.  She has gained her heavenly wings.  Shirley was the daughter of the former Rex Isaac and Estelle Kitchen.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles A. Ramey and spouse Betty, Sisters and spouses, Helen and “Ottis Sr.” Lane and Joann Scott, Phyllis and “Sherri” Spurlock and Barbara and “Rev. Tommy” Reynolds.  She is also preceded in death by her nephews Edward Dunlap and Michael Dunlap, Jimmy Dunlap; and great nephew Lowell Lane. 

She is survived by her sister Hilda Fitzwater and spouse Lowell of Madison and host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews and her loving little companion “Daisy”.  Shirley was a loyal devoted Christian and was faithful member of Washington Heights Church of God. 

A Graveside service will be held Monday, July 31^st, 2023 Memory Gardens in Low Gap, Madison, WV at 11:00am.  Friends and family may visit prior to the service at 10:30 am. The funeral will be conducted by her niece Susan Dooley Haynes of Cynthiana, Kentucky.
