Shirley Ann Belcher, 76, of Pecks Mill, WV, went home to the Lord on December 26, 2025, at Advent Health Hospital in Ormond Beach, Florida after a long illness. 

She was born on January 5, 1949 in Bloomingrose, WV to Emsy and Bessie Belcher. Shirley graduated from Sherman High School in 1966. She spent her career working for the State of West Virgina, starting in 1977 and retiring in 2009. She was most proud of her work with Behavioral Health Services. Shirley was a devout Baptist who loved gospel music and loved to sing along with her favorite hymns. She was also a football fan and enjoyed watching her son and grandson play. 

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Emsy and Bessie Belcher, and brothers Bill and James (Turk) Belcher. 

She is survived by her sister, Betty Gordon of Bloomingrose, WV; her daughter, Beth Cline (Terry) of Ormond Beach, Florida; son, Travis Belcher of Pecks Mill, WV; grandson, Brodee Belcher, and his mother, Luci Bowyer; special niece, Becky Hornsby; and special cousin, Kay Milam. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 9, 2026 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV, with Reverend Roscoe Chafin officiating and Pastor Robert Perdue Jr. singing. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. She will be laid to rest at Pineview Cemetery in Orgas, WV. 

Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother who was proud of her children, and especially proud of her grandson.
