Sharon Ann Peak, 83, of Sharples, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, at Charleston Area Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 22, 1941, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Earl and Virginia Crawley,
Sharon lived a life filled with kindness, compassion, and an unwavering love for animals, especially her beloved cats.
Sharon devoted many years as a teacher’s aide in the Spencer County, Kentucky school system, where her nurturing spirit touched the lives of students and colleagues alike. She found joy in collecting teapots, each one a testament to her unique taste and appreciation for life’s simple beauties. Her gentle heart and warm presence left a lasting impact on her family and community.
Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved son, David Thompson; her parents, Earl and Virginia Crawley; her brothers, Edward, Donnie, James, and Johnny Crawley; and her sister, Janice Hurtle.
She is survived by her sons, Kevin Thompson (Hope), Michael Thompson (Angela), and Steven Thompson (Misty); her brothers, Doug Crawley and Gary Crawley; her grandchildren, Brian Thompson, Brittany Colegrove (Nick), Corey Thompson (Haylie), Nicholas Thompson, William Thompson, Henry Thompson, and Claire Thompson; and six cherished great-grandchildren, all of whom will hold her memory dear.
A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens on July 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life.
