Sharon Lynn Massey

Sharon Lynn Massey, 73, of Wharton, WV passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV.

She was born July 4, 1953 to the late Gilbert and Stella Gibson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Henry Massey; siblings Beulah Cook, Sylvester Gibson, Edward Gibson, Melva Sigmon, and Charlene Woodrum.

She is survived by her daughter, Bridget (Nelson) Whitten of Arnett, WV; sons, Jason (Mindy) Gibson of Sod, WV, Henry Massey Jr. of Wharton, WV and Tike Green of Wharton, WV; grandchildren, Cheyenne Bourne, Sydney Bourne, Isaac Green, Jesse Blankenship, Jason Massey, Jaylen Gibson, Austin Wiles, and Kanyon Green; great-grandchildren, Zacari, Colson and Karter Elswick, Evander, Kohen and Ryder Stewart, Paisley Price, JT and Hudson McCormick, Fraya Meade, and Mia Lusk. She is also survived by her sister, Loretta Elkins of Bob White, WV and brother, Kenneth (Gale) Gibson of Wharton, WV.

Sharon was a member of Greenwood Church.

Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Memory Gardens on Low Gap Road, Danville, WV.
