Shannon Dotson

Shannon Dotson of Julian, WV went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2024 at his home.

He was born February 20, 1938 to the late Ruben and Bernice Dotson.

He is survived by the love of his life, Betty Dotson; daughter, Kim Mayberry (Timmy); brother Gary Dotson (Gloria); and sister, Susie; his grandchildren he loved with all his heart, Calvin A. Allen (Allyson), Crystal Clay (Mark); and so special were his great grandchildren, Jacob Clay of Florida, Hayley Clay of Julian, Ava Allen of Columbus, Ohio  and Calvin Allen of Columbus, OH; and nephews, Kevin Dotson, Mike Dotson, Tony Dotson and Patrick Dotson.

He graduated from Scott High School in 1956 and went on to manage a grocery warehouse, The Creasy Company in Kenova for 30 years.  When he wasn’t working, he loved to race cars.

Service will be conducted by Darrell Searls, Clinton Craddock and Joe Pritchard at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV.  Burial will follow in Hill Cemetery, Julian, WV with Masonic graveside services.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
