Selby Jean Curry

Selby Jean Curry, 86, of Costa, WV passed away October 28, 2026.

She was born in McCorkle, WV on August 23, 1940 to the late William (Willie) and Amanda Smith. She was a Christian and attended Dartmont Freewill Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Carl Jay Curry; sons, Michael Reagan of Costa, WV and David Reagan of Charleston, WV; grandchildren that she raised, David Scott Reagan and Shawn Reagan; siblings, Kimberly Sponagule of Peytona, WV, Jackie Smith of Mason County, WV, David Smith of Ridgeview, WV, Emerson Smith of Ocala, FL, Dola Kinder of Ridgeview, WV, and Kay Tackett of Costa, WV. Selby is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 2, 2026 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV, officiated by Gary Bowman. Burial to follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in McCorkle, WV.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
