Roy Michael Merritt, 72, of Branchland, WV died Monday September 27, 2021. He was born May 17, 1949 in West Hamlin, WV, a son of the late Robert and Jannie Hazelett Merritt. He was also preceded in death by a sister Virginia Lynn Merritt.
He is survived by his brothers and sister, Roger Merritt (Lynnette), James “Jimbo” Merritt (Belinda), Brenda Chandler (Randy), and Robert Merritt, Jr. and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday September 30, 2021 at McClarity Baptist Church, Branchland, WV. The burial will follow in the Warrick Cemetery, Branchland, WV. A visitation will be after 6:00pm Wednesday at the Church. McGhee-Handley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
