Roy Edward Dempsey

Roy “Eddie” Edward Dempsey, 66, of Madison, WV passed away Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Doroty Dempsey; nephew Doug Stollings; sister-in-law Karen Dempsey; and brother-in-law Fred Stollings.

Eddie is survived by three sisters, Brenda Stollings of Six-Mile, Linda (Will) Canan of Virginia, and Ann (Charlie) Clay of Uneeda; three brothers, Jack (Terri) Dempsey of Alum Creek, Billy (Cynthia) Dempsey of Kentucky, and John (Kitty) Dempsey of Fairdale; and nieces, nephews, and a lot of friends.

He loved going to church and was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Madison, WV.

A special thanks to General Hospital for the care they gave to him.

Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2025 at Gospel Center Tabernacle in West Madison with Rev. Walter Gore officiating. Burial will follow in Family Gardens on Low Gap Road, Madison, WV.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. on Friday until service time at the church.
