Rose Carrie Lovejoy

Rose Carrie Lovejoy, 82, of West Hamlin, WV passed away Tuesday April 30, 2024 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. She was born March 21, 1942 a daughter of the late Thurston and Hazel Tabor. She was also preceded in death by her husband Harry J. Lovejoy, two brothers and two sisters. She was an upholstery maker, a member of Berry’s Branch Church, and a member of the Lovejoy Family Bluegrass Gospel Group.

She is survived by her children David (Carol) Lovejoy, Teresa (Billy) Carter, Hazel Lovejoy, Matthew (Lisa) Lovejoy, Gregory (Christy) Lovejoy, Loretta (James) Plants, Deborah (Scott) Goodwin, and Anita Burch; 27 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; three brothers; six sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday May 4, 2024 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home West Hamlin, WV with Jason Carper officiating. Burial will follow at Lovejoy Family Cemetery Little Buffalo Creek Road in West Hamlin is for immediate family only. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
