Ronald Gaye Sands, 82, of Danville passed away on October 10, 2012 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
He was born October 29, 1929 at Comfort, WV and was a son of the late John Richard and Edith Audrey Allen Sands.
He was a retired Line Foreman from Hope Gas with 31 years of service.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter Joann Ruth Sands; brothers James R. Sands and Billy D. Sands; and a sister Ernestine Harmon.
He is survived by daughter, Sandra Gaynell Bartley of Foster; son, Ronald L. (Teresa) Sands of Foster; brother, Roberts Sands; two grandchildren, Allen Lee Bartley and Terry Wayne; and one step granddaughter, Betty Oquendo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 13 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Richard Runyon officiating. Burial will follow in Amick Cemetery, Comfort, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
