Ronald George Lorrison

Ronald George Lorrison 82 of Madison WV passed away peacefully on March 27, 2024 after fighting a hard battle of ALS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bonnie Lorrison and his brother, Broaddus Lorrison.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years; Lana (Workman) Lorrison, his daughter; Ronna Lorrison, his sons; Scott (Megan) Lorrison, Shad (Renae) Lorrison, and Shane Lorrison, his grandchildren; Blake Lorrison, Noah Lorrison and Tanny Twitty.

Ronald was a graduate of Van High School and Morris Harvey College. He taught school in Boone County and later served as a social worker and County Director of the Boone County Department of Welfare.  

Ronald retired from Bethleham Mines as the Safety Director.  He was very proud and often spoke of his Mine Rescue Team, which he trained.  He is also founder of Lorrison’s Pool and Spa. Ronald was a faithful member of the Bandytown and Quinland Church of Christ.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 30, 2024 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Timmy Bailey officiating.   Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison WV.
