Robin Ann Kennedy, also known as “Miss K,” was born February 3, 1952, and passed away at home on July 29, 2026, following a short illness.

Robin was a lifelong resident of St. Albans, WV. Early in her career, she spent time working for Nicholas County Schools as a special education teacher. She taught many early elementary students growing up in St. Albans. She was affectionally called, “Miss K.”

It was common for Robin to be dining out or grocery shopping, and a former student to recognize her trademark flowing locks, exuberate smile, her joyful energy, and the former student to call out, “Miss K!” A joyful reunion always followed. Robin loved teaching, her students, and they loved her back. People frequently commented that she was young at heart.

She was also a true animal lover.

Robin is survived by her brothers, James Walker Kennedy (Breagit) of Germany and Patrick Kennedy of St. Albans, WV; sister, Julia Black (Byron) of Romance, WV; nieces and nephews, Amanda (Eli) James (Sarah), Kristin (Isaac), William (Emmy), and Byron Patrick (Katie). Robin is also survived by a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends.

Robin, your laughter will truly be missed.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at St. Marks Episcopal Church in St. Albans, WV with Rev. Matthew Watts officiating. Burial to follow in Spring Hill Cemetery in Charleston, WV. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service at the church.
