Robert F. Charcandy

Robert “Rob” F. Charcandy, 83, of Madison, WV passed away Monday, July 28, 2025 at Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison, WV.

He was born September 30, 1941 and was a son of the late Andrew Arthur and Marguerite Blanche (Hildreth) Charcandy. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Arthur “Buck”, Donald “Tom”, and Bernard “Jack”; sisters, Ruby Gains, Phyllis Michael, Virginia (Peg) Thompson, Betty Ball, Dottie McVey, Janet McCormick, Gloria (Kitten) Burger, and Effie Spencer.

He was a retired coal miner, a member of Prayer Connection Lighthouse, and attended Madison Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Baisden Charcandy; children, Tiger Charcandy, Timothy Charcandy, and Tammy Pennington; step-children, Megan Worthley and David Baisden; many grandkids and great grandkids; sisters, Lana (Angie) Charcandy, and Judy Norvell; sisters-in-law, Judy Charcandy, and Peggy Charcandy; and many nieces and nephews.

Service will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Bill Cook and Mark Meeker officiating. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison, WV.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time.
