Phillip Stanford Newman, 70, of Danville, WV passed away on November 24, 2012 at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, WV.
He was born August 23, 1942 and was a son of the late Earl Stanford and Corrian Faith Bragg Newman.
He was a retired steel worker for Bethlehem Steel.
He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Rowe of Charleston, WV and Debra Irving of Goodyear, Arizona; one son, Michael David Newman of Hebron, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Cliff Collins officiating.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. until service time on Friday at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Duncan Falls Cemetery, Duncan Falls, Ohio.
