Patsy Joan (Jarrell) Coon

Patsy Joan Coon, aged 90, of Madison, WV, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 18, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie L. Coon; her parents, Marvin and Gladys Jarrell; her brothers, Reginald, Elwood, Delan, and Robert (Grundy) Jarrell; and sister, Norma Jean Justice.

A retired beautician, she was also a member of the Van United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Valerie Mullins and Teresa (Johnny) Canterbury of Madison, WV; her grandchildren, Jason (Dorthy) Mullins and Bridget Hill; her great-grandchildren, Dustin Mullins and Cole Foster; her sister-in-law, Carol Coon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family expresses gratitude to Dignity Hospice, including Emilia Spencer, Stephanie Hurley, DR. Ron Stollings, DR. James Stollings, Casey Hager, and the staff of Boone Memorial Health, as well as special friends Koy and Pat Jones.

A graveside service will take place Tuesday July 22, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Family Gardens in Madison, WV, with Rev. Tom Bias officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dignity Hospice.
