Patricia Ann Bratcher

Patricia Ann “Pat” Bratcher, age 84, of St. Albans, WV passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, in Julian, WV.

Patricia was born July 20, 1941 to the late Ona Ray and Virginia Pauline Hager. Patricia was also preceded in death by her first husband Sheridan McClellan “Buddy” Price and second husband Norman “Gene” Bratcher.

She was a 1959 graduate of Scott High School, where she was a member of the marching band, obtained an accounting degree from Southern WV Community and Technical College, and was also a licensed realtor.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherri Ann Price of St. Albans, WV; two brothers, Clarence Howard “Sonny” Hager of Madison, WV and John Douglas “Doug” (Jessica) Hager of Hewett, WV; five grandchildren, Molly Caldwell of St. Albans, WV, Margaret (Cole) Parsons of Axton, VA, Madelyn Price of Morgantown, WV, Chloe Price of St. Albans, WV, and Clara Price of St. Albans, WV; great-grandchildren Aiden, Addison, and Benjamin Caldwell of St. Albans, WV and Fletcher and Meredith Parsons of Axton, VA. Patricia is also survived by step children, Norman “Craig” (Victoria) Bratcher of Peytona, WV, Tracy McDonald of South Charleston, WV and step grandchildren, Nicholas Bratcher, Erin McDonald, and Amanda Blankenship.

Patricia was a bookkeeper for A.C. Grifith & Son furniture store for 20 years, then completed her career as a field clerk for CNG Transmission/Dominion Energy. Patricia was an active church member who enjoyed singing in the choir and dedicated her life to providing and caring for her family. She was a woman of resilience and loyalty and will be missed by all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at Memory Gardens on Thursday, October 16 at 2 p.m. on Low Gap Road in Madison, WV with Tom Bias presiding. Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV is assisting the family.
