Odis L. Harvey, 83, of Daniels, WV passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

Born October 17, 1942, he was the son of the late Marvin and Agnes Harvey. In addition to his parents, Odis was preceded in death by his brother, Dockie Harvey, and sisters Judy Miller and Kathy Johner.

He honorably served as a Corporal (E.4) in the US Marine Corp., and later as a Foreman at Peabody Coal Company. He had a deep love for his country, his family, and he also was an avid WV fan.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Greta Harvey of Daniels WV; son, Keatts (Gina) Harvey; daughters, Teresa Brooks, Mendy Harvey; stepson, Jason (Julie) Blankenship; and brother, Tommy (Jenny) Harvey. Also left to cherish are 13 grandchildren, Zachary (Katlin) Harvey, Adam (Dakotah) Brooks, Aaron (Ellie) Brooks, Andrew (Caitlin) Brooks, Alex (Braylee) Brooks, Joseph Foust, Preston Foust, Kaytlin (Blake) Grindstaff, Brooke (Spencer) Linens, Chase Hall preceded by Shane Hall; step-grandchildren, Kayla (Frankie) Vanover and Caden Blankenship; and 8 great-grandchildren, Jasmynn Harvey, Josalynn Harvey, Declann Harvey, Gavinn Harvey, Cooper Brooks, Absher Hall, Blakely Grindstaff and Cash Linens.

He will be remembered by everyone who knew him as a kind and loving man.

Services by Pastor Matt Johner will be held at 11:00 a.m., December 2, 2025 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue until time of service. Committal services to occur at the Harvey/Toler Cemetery with full Military Honors.
