Odell Vernon Lawson

Odell Vernon Lawson 90, of Branchland, WV passed from this life to his Heavenly Home on December 7, 2024. He was born July 7, 1934 a son of the late Sherman and Henrietta Hale Lawson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Sue; sisters, Bertie, Juanita, Bessie, Ruth, and Inez; brothers, Oscar, Garcia, Howard, and James. He was a heavy equipment operator, a member of Middle Fork Baptist Church, and a Mason of Hamlin Lodge.

He is survived by his wife Janith, special nieces and nephews, and a very special friend Richard Watson.

The family would like to give a special Thank You to St. Mary’s Nursing staff and the caregivers at Hospice for being so caring.

Funeral service will be 2:00PM Tuesday December 10, 2024 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home West Hamlin, WV with Jonah Adkins and Johnny Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Messinger Cemetery Branchland, WV. A visitation will be two hours prior to service. Friends may express their condolences at handleyfh.com.
