Mildred Thompson

Mildred Lee Thompson "Millie" of Low Gap, WV passed away on April 29,2024. She was born in Lawn, WV July 31,1945. Surviving family members include... her husband of 61 years, Raymond Walter Thompson of Low Gap. 

She is survived by her children; Raymond Anthony Thompson and Teresa Michelle Thompson of Wharton, WV.  Gregory Allen Thompson of Low Gap, WV.  Jodi Thompson Tulley and John Christopher Mullins of Elkview, WV, grandchildren; Tessarae Michelle Perry and Jacob Scott Perry of Bim, WV. Chase Alexander Thompson and Karessa Dawn Thompson of Winfield, WV, Caleb Aaron Thompson of Wharton, WV, great grandchildren; Camden Alexander Thompson and Koleson Drew Thompson of Winfield, WV, niece Charlotte Devito, and also countless nieces and nephews. She had numerous friends, Loved all of her family and friends immensely. 

Preceding her in death was her mother Vena Florence Shaffer, father Arthur Fitzwater, and sisters; Ellita Sheppard and Vicky Cowan.

She was a long standing member and choir participant of West Madison Baptist Church and Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church. She was involved for years in a women's bowling league. She was very proud to have completed her high school equivalency certification. She worked for years at West Madison Grocery.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2024 at Handley Funeral Home at Danville, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Monday. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens at Low Gap Road, Madison, WV.
