Michael Plumley 71 of Foster, WV passed away Friday November 28, 2025 at St. Mary’s Medical Center after a long illness. He was born January 14, 1954 in Logan, WV a son of the late Virginia Robinette and Lacie Plumley. He was also preceded in death by brother Paul Plumley and sister Linda Adams.

Michael was a drywall hanger and finisher for many years, he went into the mining field where he had to give that up due to his health.

Michael is survived by his wife of 38 years Shirley and children Jerry (Jaclyn) Spears, Jason Spears, Heather (Pete) Garza, Jon Plumley, Dara Spears and Jason Joe Ellis Spears; many grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; brothers Willard (Lois) Plumley, Jimmy (Janice) Robinette.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and all his dialysis nurses at Davita and Thomas Hospital that cared for him.

Services for Michael will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV, with Frank Ball and Alan Barker officiating. Visitation will held from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
