Mary R. Shepherd

Mary R. Shepherd, 84, of Hurricane, WV went home to be with the Lord on October 21, 2015. She was born April 2, 1931 in Branchland, WV, a daughter of the late Henry and Ella Williamson Dean. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ivory M. Brunty, Beatrice E. Hargis, and Stella V. Dean; six brothers, John Riley, Hiram, Arvil, Sebren, Burl and Darrell Dean.

She is survived by a daughter, Alice K. Combs (Bruce) of Hurricane, WV; son Richard L. Shepherd (Tammy) of Ripplemead, Va.; two sisters, Helen M. Aliff (Carl) of Twinsburg, OH and Martha Hager of Ohio; grandchildren, Nicole L. Price (Chad) of Parisburg, Va. and Christina D. Combs of Hurricane, WV; two great grandsons, Sebastian G. Price and Broderick S. Price.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday October 24, 2015 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV. The burial will be in the Warrick Cemetery, Branchland, WV. A visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm Friday at the funeral home.
