Mary Kathleen Harless

Mary Kathleen Harless, 86 of Peytona, loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother & great great grandmother passed away on Sept. 30, 2015 after a long illness. She was a homemaker, loved her Lord, enjoyed cooking, making quilts, and loved being with her family. Her family will remember her most for times she spent caring for & nurturing her grandchildren. She taught them simple things in life.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Ben Harless; parents Dewey and Virginia Young; sisters Katherine Cooper and Elizabeth Key; brothers Arthur Young, Albert Young and Leonard Young. Left to cherish her memories are daughters Susie (Mike) Halstead, Linda Sutton, and Brenda (Turley) Kinder; grandchildren Joe (Valerie) Halstead, Missy (Junior) Stout, Niki (Jamie) Lipford, Jason Sutton, Matthew (Renee) Sutton, Sara (Dave) Short, Angela (Eric) Gartin, and Turley (Christine) Kinder II; 11 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

There will be a graveside service in the Mausoleum at Memory Gardens Madison with Pastor Damron Bradshaw officiating at 12 noon Saturday Oct. 3, 2015. Friends may call at the mausoleum at 11:30am. Handley Funeral Home Danville is in charge of the arrangements.
