The heart and soul of our family, Mary Elizabeth Moore Griffith met her Savior in heaven on May 17, 2024.
Born at home in Lory, WV on April 16, 1928 to Hubert and Corna Moore. Mary was a devout Christian and faithful member of the Madison Baptist Church for over seventy years.
She taught us all how to live a Christian life through her quiet, humble love of God and her expressions of love, kindness and acceptance of all. And especially through her wonderful cooking!
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband of 63 years Archibald Carlyle Griffith, Jr., son Arch (Bozo) Griffith, III, grandson Michael Griffith and great granddaughter Amanda Griffith. Also preceding her in death were her brothers and sisters Geneva Miller, Hilbert Moore, Guy Moore, Kirtley Moore and Adelene Westerhoff.
She is survived by her brothers Bill (Ellen) Moore and Bobby (Mike) Moore. Also surviving are children Mike (Donna) Griffith, Debbie Griffith, Denise Knabb, Diane (Marc) Harman and Alan Griffith and daughter in her heart, Dremea (David) Hill.

The family would like to thank her Madison Baptist Church family for their continued support and prayers after her move to Charleston and especially to Pastor Jim Butcher and Bill Cook.
We would also like to thank the staff at The Ridgemont at Edgewood Summit whom she loved as her own. She loved spending time with each and every one of the caregivers she called family. And we are grateful to The Hubbard Hospice House and especially to Dr. Katherine Calloway for the care and compassion shown to our mom in her final days.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Madison Baptist Church.
