Mary Elizabeth Beckelheimer

Mary Elizabeth Beckelheimer 89 of Hurricane, WV formerly of Branchland went to be with the Lord on October 17, 2026 at St. Mary’s Medical Center surrounded by loved ones as she left this world. She was born March 22, 1937 a daughter of Walton and Stella Watts Baker. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband Don Beckelheimer of 68 years; her son Don Beckelheimer II; brothers Jennings, Homer, Arnold, Argie, Arvin and Eugene Baker; and a sister Goldie Smithson.

Mary was loved by many and never met a person who didn’t fast become a friend. She was a homemaker, a strong Christian, and a decade’s long member of McClarity Baptist Church of which she was a very active member. She dearly loved her Church family.

Our beloved mother was survived by her daughter Trina McLane (John) of Charleston, WV; her sister Eula Mae Szajkovics (Alex) of IN; her grandsons Cameron McLane (Brittany) and Caleb McLane (Destiny); her great grandchildren Pierce, Lucas, Easton, and Lydia; many nieces and nephews. She is tremendously loved and missed by all friends, family, and loved ones.

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held 1:00pm Wednesday October 21, 2026 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home West Hamlin, WV with Johnny Courts officiating. Burial will follow at Watson Cemetery Branchland. A visitation will be held from 12:00pm until service time.
