Marlin Haywood Price was born February 9, 1940 in Madison, West Virginia to the late Randall and Garnett Price. He departed this life on Friday, June 6, 2025. Marlin was a hardworking union man who loved his family and had a family who loved him dearly. He also served in the National Guard from 1965-1967. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and sitting on the porch in the sun. He also loved talking to his great grandchild, Semaj, whom he called “Fatman.” He was preceded in death by his wife Mospely Price and daughter Michelle Price. He leaves to cherish his memory his sister Elsie Price Coleman, and brothers Randall (Angela) Price and Chester Price; his children Randy (Cathy) Price, Monica Price, and Marliea Edwards; his grandchildren Demetrius (Jennifer) Price, William Price, Marlin Price, Diandra Price, Antonio Price, Daria Taylor, Malike Wells, Apryl Wells, Ma’Riyah Price, Joliea Hale, Terence Toone, Stephan Toone, Breona Edwards, Johnny Edward, Travis Sims, and Tyler Sims; 32 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Services will be Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Handley Funeral Home at Danville, WV with Rev. Audie Murphy officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will follow in the Danville Memorial Park at Danville.
