Macks Ray Lilly, 89, of Spurlockville, WV, closed his eyes and peacefully entered into his eternal rest with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 13, 2025.
He was the son of the late Cecil William Lilly and Lucy Mae Arnold Lilly. Macks was a faithful servant of God for many years. He traveled far and wide to preach the Word and sing His praises. He enjoyed doing the Lord's work, never failing tot tell anyone how good his God was. He would sing His praises from the top of his lungs in a church, or from his tractor in the hayfields.
Macks worked many jobs over his lifetime, but the job he enjoyed the most was raising his family with the love of his life, Rebecca, whom he was married to for nearly 50 years. It was a love that was a testament to the Glory of God and had stood the tests of time. Rebecca was lovingly by his side until his final breath.
He graciously passed his love of fishing and being outdoors to his children and grandchildren, along with his passion for his dogs and farm animals. Macks adored his dog, Specks, and his tiny pony, Duke.
Services for Macks will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV with Wayne Thompson officiating. Visitation to be held one hour prior to the service.
Following the service, a dinner will be held in Macks's honor at the Danville Volunteer Fire Department. The Lilly Family extends an invite for all to come, spend time, share memories, and celebrate the life of Macks.
