Lynnett Shea Fletcher, 45, of Madison, WV entered eternal rest on March 25, 2026.

She was born on September 24th, 1980 to Deborah and the late Roger McMicken.

Shea didn’t just enjoy nature, she belonged to it in a way that’s hard to explain but easy to recognize. She moved through life on her own terms, a little untamed, a little unconventional, and completely unapologetic about it. She never met an animal she didn’t claim as her own, filling her home and her life with creatures that needed her care, especially her dog and best friend, Django. She was our wildflower; beautiful, fierce, and free. She loved to sing, especially belting out Loretta Lynn, nothing made her more proud than to be a Coal Miner’s Daughter.

She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Bella (Gregory) Napier of Ottawa, WV, Lyle (Staci) McMicken of St. Albans, WV, Sally (Nathan) Carman of Brandywine, MD, and Martin (Jaime) McMicken of Madison, WV; ten nieces and nephews and one great nephew, Tanis (Juana) Walker, Garrett (Kelley) Napier, Landen (Megan) Napier, Morgan (Tyler) Watts, Grace McMicken, Brittney (Alex) Ball, Katelyn Carman, Brooke Carman, Hunter (Megan) McMicken, Isabel McMicken, and Emerson Napier; her boyfriend Roger Baldwin and his children Tyler, Chelsey, and Leah who she was a step mother to; along with many other family members and close friends.

Graveside service will be held at 2 o’clock PM, Monday March 30, 2026 at McMicken Family Cemetery (942 Hope St, Madison, WV) with Pastor Lyle McMicken officiating. Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV is assisting the family.
