Loretta A. Helmick Judy, 87, of Seth, WV departed this life on August 24, 2012 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston.
She was born August 21, 1925 at Blair, WV and was a daughter of the late Dock “D.W.” and Ethel Thornhill Helmick. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dickson W. Judy; brothers, Bill Helmick and Lowell Payne; sisters, Imogene Helmick Brenwalt and Pauline Eary; and step-mother, Cleo Helmick.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Racine, WV.
She is survived by her children, Bob and Betty Judy of Peytona, Barbara and Tom Storms of Corbin, KY, Tom and Sharon Judy of Racine, Dickie and Tressa Judy of Foster, Kaye and Russell Close of Williamsburg, KY, Michael and Connie Judy of Bloomingrose, and Michael Brendon Judy of Denver, Colorado; brothers, Senator Walt Helmick and Rita of Minnehaha Springs, WV, Sonny Helmick and Charlotte of Bergoo, WV, Bob Helmick and Mary of Webster Springs, WV and Mick Payne and Carolyn of Bergoo, WV; sisters, Elinor and Bobby Hudnall of Cedar Grove, WV, Patricia and Garl Hamrick of Beverly, WV and Shirley and Bob Delaney of Park Hole, WV; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2012 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Anthony Pratt officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
