Lois “Jean” Nearhood of Danville went to be with our heavenly Father on January 9, 2016 at Boone Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nearhood; son, Todd Nearhood; mother and step-father, Sylvia and Virgil C. Sharp; and brother, Joe Sharp.
She was an animal lover and rescued many animals. She was a member of T.O.P.S. as a K.O.P.S. for 20 years.
She is survived by sisters, Brenda (Sam) Lepore of Bluffton, SC, Ida Ellis of Foster, Dale (Sammie) Bruce of Rockford, IL; sister-in-law, Sandy Sharp; and several nieces and nephews. She will always be loved and missed.
Per her wishes there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to BARC or PAWS.
