Lois Ann Lane

Lois Ann (Tompkins) Lane, of Jeffrey, WV, formerly of Monclo, passed away at home on May 21st, 2025.

She was born on April 23, 1939 at Delbarton, WV (Puritan Camp), and was one of 8 children of the late Earnest and Reva Tompkins. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Ray Lane Sr. of Monclo, Jeffrey, WV; brothers, James Earl and Joe Robert; sisters, Earnestine Curry and Charlene Spencer; granddaughter, Rachel Barker; and grandson Gerald Todd II.

She is survived by her brothers Harry Ray and Gregory Blair Tompkins of San Diego, CA; sister Betty and (Joe Lane) of Ottawa WV; children Tamra and (Thomas Crisp) (BoBo) of Jeffrey, WV, Gordon Ray (Kay) of Six Mile, WV, Gerald Todd (Regina) of Jeffrey, WV, Debra (Steven) Barker of Clothier, WV, and Arnold (Julie) of Chapmanville WV; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 Great Great Grandson, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Lois loved the Lord with all her heart and prayed continually all her waking time. She would help any person in need with whatever she had and strived to be in the house of the Lord every time she had the chance. She was a True Child of God.

Funeral services for Lois will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, at Monclo Freewill Baptist Church, Monclo Hollow Road, with Joe Lane, Dennie Evans, and Daniel Lane officiating. Burial will follow at Family Gardens on Low Gap Road in Madison, WV.

Friends may call from 6 pm to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at the church.
