Lois Jean Adkins

Lois Jean Adkins, 73, of Branchland, WV, was born on March 31, 1952. Lois went to be with the lord on October, 13, 2025, in the comfort of her home and surrounded by family. She was a loving wife to Henley Adkins for 53 years. Lois was a long-time member of Liberty United Baptist Church and a 1970 graduate of Guyan Valley High School.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents: Fred "Bill" and Maggie Beckelheimer, sister Nada Adkins; brother Estel "Buck" Beckelheimer, and nephew Brent Crosby.

Here to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 53 years: Henley Adkins, son Scotty (Kathy) Adkins, sister Linda (Raydene) Bennett, grandson Justin Scott Adkins, granddaughter Sara Lynn Flowers (Lance Watson), great-granddaughter Harper "Muffin" Watson, nephews: Brandon Adkins, Steve and Shane Beckelheimer, sister-in-law Lola Beckelheimer, nieces Christina Adkins and Danielle (Aaron) Fisher, and Charles Adkins.

Also, a very special friend Glenna Flowers. 

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, at Mc-Ghee Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV. Elder Eddie McComas and Elder Eddie Parsons will be officiating. Visitation Friday, October 17, from 6-8 p.m. A burial will be held at Beckelhimer Cemetery in Branchland, WV.
