Linda Sue Dempsey Meadows

Linda Sue Dempsey Meadows, age 78, of Madison, WV went home to be with the Lord Jesus on December 31, 2025. She passed peacefully at the Hubbard Hospice House surrounded by her daughters and loved ones after a long battle with cancer.

Born June 20, 1947 in Delbarton, WV to Virgil and Mildred Salyers. She was a 1965 graduate of Buron High School and went on to attend West Virginia State.

Linda’s life was rooted in her unwavering faith in Christ. Her love and devotion to God guided everything she did and shaped the way she lived, loved and endured.

She was a true believer of God and has attended church all her life. The latest being the Prayer Connection Light House in Danville, WV.

She was deeply and genuinely proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren whom she spoke of with joy and gratitude. She loved her family and family time. Just getting to see family gave her great joy.

Linda was a woman of faith, strength, and devotion. To know Linda was to know someone who believed fully, loved deeply, and stood firm in what mattered most to her. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and faith she held close to her heart.

Linda was preceded in death by both her parents; her husband of 56 years William “Bill” Meadows; along with her second daughter Regina Meadows.

Let behind to cherish her memory is her daughters, Meredith (Willard) Pritchett of Beckley, WV, Billie Jo Meadows of Madison, WV, and Elizabeth (JD) Austin of Dorothy, WV; brothers, Randolph (Barb) Salyers of Delbarton, WV ad Jerry (Brenda) Salyers of Delbarton, WV ad Dany (Lou Ann) Salyers of Martin, KY; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She is where she always wanted to be, Heaven.

A Memorial Service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Prayer Connection Light House in Danville, WV with Mark Meeker officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
