Linda Renia Adkins

Linda Renia Adkins, age 72, of West Hamlin, West Virginia, passed away on January 10, 2026. She was the beloved widow of Larry Joe Adkins, with whom she has now been reunited after their marriage that began in February 1976.

Born on September 21, 1953, in Hamlin, West Virginia, Linda was the daughter of Herbert and Reba Adkins. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her 14 siblings: Patsy Willis, Barbra Adkins, Geraldine Holton, Bobbie Adkins, Mae Cochran, Phyllis Payton, Edbert Adkins, Alline Lucas, Johnnie Adkins, Alice Adkins, Calvin Adkins, Brenda Lambert, Kathy Adkins, and Jackie Adkins.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Lori (Bobby) Hughes of Huntington, West Virginia, and Jenna (Russell) Cox of Ranger, West Virginia. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Bobby (Elizabeth) Hughes of Huntington, Skylar Lambert of Huntington, and Larryn, Zach, and Kensley Cox of Ranger, as well as her great-grandsons, Evan Hughes and Bruce Lambert, both of Huntington. Additionally, Linda is survived by her stepchildren, Kenny (Marie) Adkins of Pass Christian, Mississippi, and Paula (Bruce) Davis of Union City, Tennessee, along with many other loving family members.

Handley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

The family will hold a private gathering in the spring to honor Linda’s memory.
