Leonard Jay Poindexter, 69, of Ona, WV died Thursday, May 19, 2022. He was born December 21, 1952 in West Hamlin, WV, a son of the late Richard and Virginia Keck Poindexter. He was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Poindexter; sisters, Wanda Davis, Evelyn Goodwin, Mollie Poindexter, Mabel Watts, and Janet Huffman; brothers, Jerry Poindexter and Everett Poindexter.
He is survived by a daughter, Tonya Williamson; two grandchildren, Shanna Williamson and Xavier Poindexter; sister, Glenna Flowers; brother, Donny Poindexter (Ethel); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday May 25, 2022 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV. The burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV.
A visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
